I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!

I had an awesome time this weekend down in  Sterling, CT, (never thought I’d say that) at the RPS New England Revolution powerlifting meet. I’m so proud of my friend and client, Alex for hitting a PR total and taking 1st in her division. Huge congrats to her! I had a great time with her and Tony (absolutely awesome guy and incredible strength coach. Check out his site http://bonvecstrength.com/).

There was tons of great fitness info this week, let’s get to it.

Good Fitness Reads of the Week: 3/15/2015

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.

Lot’s of great fitness info to catch up on this week. This week’s edition has 16 new fitness articles by myself and others, strength tips, and updates from my training.

Strength Tips and Training

#Deadlift setup Push your #glutes back to the wall behind you. Hinge at the hips and push your glutes back until your hamstrings prevent you from moving back further. Keep tension in your hamstrings and weight on your heels. Grab the bar and squeeze! Breathe and brace your #abs hard. Use your #lats to pull the slack out of the bar. Use the weight as a counter balance to drive your weight on your heels and pull your chest up. Keep your #back in a neutral position. Allow your hips to lower a bit while keeping tension in your hamstrings. Stand up explosively through your heels. Leave an imprint of your heels in the floor and squeeze your glutes to lock out. #powerlifting #deadlifts #powerlifter #strongman #weightlifting #rawpowerlifting #bodybuilding #strong #strength #train #fitness #fitnessmotivation #focus#gainz #lift #liftheavy #strengthtips
